I have a bonus post for you today which is great fun – hope you’ll join in! The fabulous Girl Meets Debt started this I ? Autumn tag earlier this week on her blog to celebrate the start of Autumn.
Here’s how this tag works. Below are some questions about what Autumn means to you. If you’re a blogger who wants to join in the Autumn fun, then you just need to publish the questions and answers on your own blog linking back to my post here.
If you’re not a blogger, then don’t worry as you can still join in by answering in the comments section at the bottom of this post!
So here are the questions and my answers!
1. What signifies the start of Autumn for you?
Harvest Festival is an traditional British annual celebration held at the start of Autumn (end of September usually or sometimes early October), once our crops have been harvested. We celebrate the food grown on our land through our schools and churches. My little girl has been involved in some Harvest Festival activities at her nursery recently!
2. What is your favourite Fall scent?
I like the scent of sweet apples, especially when used in candles or when I’m baking an apple and blackberry crumble in the oven! Scrummy!
3. What is you favourite Autumn colour?
My favourite colour is aubergine, this carries right through the seasons for me but I think it fits particularly well with the theme of Autumn!
4. What is your favourite Fall drink? Since I’ve converted to drinking herbal teas over alcohol recently, I’ve been indulging in Pomegranate Tea. It’s delicious, honest!
5. What TV show, new or old are you looking forward to this Fall?
I don’t watch a lot of TV these days as I’m trying not to veg out on the sofa every night (just at my desk with my laptop ;)). But I must admit I do love Strictly Come Dancing, The X Factor and Downton Abbey!
6. What is your favorite Fall fashion trend?
I’m not particularly on trend these days, but my wardrobe contains mostly aubergine / caramel / coffee colours, so hopefully these will be ok. I do have a really nice tweed military style coat which I’m definitely going to be getting out of the closet soon.
7. What is your favourite frugal Autumn activity?
Walking my dog is one of my favourite activities outdoors in any season but I love hunting for pine cones, different coloured leaves and conkers in the Autumn with my daughter – great fun!
8. Are you a bigger fan of Thanksgiving or Halloween?
In the UK, we tend to celebrate Harvest Festival rather than Thanksgiving, so for this question, I’d have to say Halloween. I’m really looking forward to making some DIY Halloween costumes this year and have already been looking at some great frugal ideas over at Money Crashers!
