Decorating your first home on a budget is a beautiful and daunting task. Depending on if you’re decorating a whole house or just an apartment makes no difference, you want it to look good, and be useful! Utilize the space you have and make sure your new place is up to par and has everything you need!

Furniture

Furniture is one of the first things you’re going to want to take into consideration. If you’re lucky enough to have some relatives that can spare you some of their old furniture then you are in luck! The key pieces of furniture you’re going to want to have include a Couch for lounging, chairs in your living room for when you have company, A dining room table with chairs, a coffee table for the living room, and a bed to sleep in! And don’t forget the night tables, a drawer for your clothes, and a rack for your laundry! These are just a few of the essentials you’re going to need to have in mind when moving into your new place!

Appliances

Appliances are key when it comes to making sure you can cook everything you need, and always have the tool for the job. With a new home there’s a good chance your going to want Silverware and Plates to eat from, a blender, a tea kettle for those late night chamomile tea binges, some lamps to keep your areas lit, and a Washer and Dryer to keep your clothes clean! And don’t forget the towels, those are more than handy! Once you have all these in place you’re off to a good start at having your new living space furnished and ready to live in!

Decorations

Decorations are what really add life to an area, with the right decorations you can make even the dullest of spaces look wonderful. Even when decorating on a budget. We recommend you go ahead and get yourself some pictures that mean a lot to you and put them in well trafficked areas so everyone can see! “Live Laugh Love!” is the type of decorations a lot of people use, but spice it up! Keep a picture of a giraffe grazing in the middle of a city and that will sure draw the attention of your visitors! The placement of the Decorations is key. You’re going to want them spaced out so they aren’t all cramped into one place. Get yourself some candles and incense, and don’t forget the flowers! When someone has flowers on their coffee table it adds to their place a hundred fold! They give off a wonderful smell and the look they bring to the place just screams that you have your life together! Don’t forget to throw up a bookcase and fill it up with books to! Other than books you really can’t forget to yourself a Television in this day and age. It’s the perfect appliance to have, especially when you have company. Sit down and watch the game in style with your group of friends. They will be happy as can be knowing their friend has a comfortable living space they all can get together in, joke around, enjoy the night, and have a downright good time in a comfortable home. Your new space will look well decorated, and will also have your guests wondering when you became to independant!
