You have some sweet sweet dedication to your debt pay off there – congratulations! You are officially my weekly hero. ๐Ÿ™‚ I haven’t tallied what we’ve put towards debt yet but I hope it’s halfway as impressive as your totals. Nicely done. ๐Ÿ™‚

Great job on anticipating the lower income and making up for it by selling things. You’re doing great and I am sure that will continue! I know that can be difficult to see sometimes but it will all be worth it.

That’s awesome, $1700 is substantial (I have to do currency conversions all the time for work lol). I hope your feeling of deflation wades soon, because from the outside looking in you are doing amazing!

I know it’s probably hard but every little step helps! And you have people here to keep giving your encouragement. My income was good in Aug, but my spending wasn’t and I also didn’t do much freelance work which will affect September’s budget negatively, and I’m doing a bit of traveling then too. Time to tighten the bootstraps! Hope Sept is a great month for you!

Wow, congrats on a great month of debt repayment! I know EXACTLY how you feel with the tortoise metaphor as well. It’s a slow race to the finish line for sure! Unfortunately I had a horrible August in regards to debt repayment which I will write about soon…

You are doing really great and I am so proud of you! Well done for making such a big payment in August and all that extra cash that you were able to get from car boots sale, etc. Yes, you should totally have a small celebration when you get to the ยฃ35k mark, I think it is important to celebrate (within reason, of course :P) every milestone as you go along! Debt freedom – here we come! ๐Ÿ˜›

Excellent work!!! Our August is going better than our July, so we’ll be happy for that. September should be even better. One day at a time, right?

I love the dedication you show to paying your debts off. When times get tough, unfortunately, many people go back into their shells and stop thinking about their debts until there is no choice in the matter…not you! You’re an inspiration!

Even though you said this month was tight, you still managed to pay more than what you planned! Congratulations on the progress! I know it feels slow – it feels slow for me, too! – but you’ve been doing a great job despite have tough months. You got this! I also think a reward is necessary to help with your motivation.

You’re doing brilliantly! Keep celebrating those milestones when you reach them and keep in mind why you are doing this!

Also, nice work on matching the lower income with the car boot sale. A little bit of work, but its important (mathematically & psychologically) to keep paying off the debt each and every month.
