I love a good deal. If I know I need to purchase something, I’ll have a good hunt around the internet first to see if I can benefit from special offers or discounts.
My motto these days is never to pay full price, unless I absolutely have to! There are plenty of websites around now where you can find a great deal – and not just on products either – on services like energy and insurances too.
For example, Top Cashback (referral link) will reward you with cashback on exactly those sorts of things. I recently got a great deal on landlord insurance through this site and received cashback too. Hot UK Deals and Groupon are other good sites for grabbing a bargain on all sorts of products.
Today though, I wanted to let you know about another site I’ve come across recently where you can not only find some really great deals but also get the chance to earn a little money at the same time too!
It’s not just David Dickinson who can make a pretty penny from bargain hunting
Pedlar (referral link) is a relatively new UK website where you can search for deals and also share deals that you’ve found yourself. When you share a deal that is supported by one of Pedlar’s partners you’ll earn a commission every time someone buys it – the commission level can be anything from 1% to 10%, depending on the retailer!
The list of partners that are associated with Pedlar is huge. The list is too long to cover them here but major retailers like Amazon, Argos, Carphone Warehouse, Debenhams, John Lewis and House of Fraser are included as well smaller retailer chains. Even car hire and travel companies like Easyjet Holidays and Disneyland Paris have joined up. Seriously, if you can’t find a UK retailer on the list, I’d be very surprised.
Take a look at this image below which gives an example of how it works…
I’ve signed up myself (it was free to join) and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed with this site so far. I don’t see myself getting rich from this site but as a way to make a little extra cash, I think this site has some mileage.
Pedlar is very easy to use. It takes about 30 seconds to sign up and then you can begin searching and sharing deals. To share a deal, it only takes a few clicks in most cases.
Note – if you want to earn commissions, you’ll need to share good genuine deals! Products that only have a tiny discount probably won’t make the cut in terms of getting people interested enough to make a purchase. Unless you happen to see a product that you’ve never ever seen discounted before and you think it’s worth sharing.
To share a deal, you just simply copy and paste the URL of the deal you’ve found in the “share a deal” box and click “next”. Then, Pedlar prepopulates the price and description field for most deals. Once you’ve selected a category from the drop down menu, you can click on “share deal” and you’re done!
Once you’ve shared a deal, you can go to your dashboard area and see what commission level the retailer offers based on the deal you shared. You can also see when someone buys your deal and most importantly, how much money you’re earning!
Pedlar also has a mobile app available so that you can take your bargain hunting on the road with you. They make it easy for you to share a deal as soon as you see one.
Another thing I like about Pedlar is that its members are individual people looking for the very best deals, rather than companies trying to promote their products by enticing you to buy something that isn’t all that much of a deal when you come to purchase it.
If the commission wasn’t enough of an incentive to share the great deals you find, Pedlar have a referral scheme where you can tell your friends and family about it. If they join up as a member and go on to earn £25, you’ll get paid £10. Bonus!
You can withdraw your earnings from Pedlar when you’ve reached a threshold of £15.
Finally…
Pedlar seems to be a great site if you love bargain hunting. Not only can you find some brilliant deals on there but by taking a minute to share deals you’ve found elsewhere, you could make yourself a little money on the side too, without really thinking about it or spending too much time on it.
Have you heard of Pedlar before? If you don’t live in the UK, do you use a similar website in your country?

I should check out Pedlar since Amazon is included on the list! Thanks for sharing this one! 🙂
No worries, hope you find it useful Clarisse!
Pedlar sounds like a great site. I’ve always wondering who shares all the deals you find on coupon/deal sites, but giving people an incentive to do it sounds like a smart move.
Pedlar is so promising! I like how it works and how everyone can make use of the deals. I just hope there’s one exactly like this in Australia.
Pedlar sounds really cool! I don’t know of a similar site in the US, but who knows, it could come our way soon!
That is smart, everybody wins in this it seems! We don’t have anything comparable in Holland I think, but if it is a good system that will probably be a matter of time.

I had never heard of Pedlar but boy does it sound ingenious! Rewarding people for scouting deals? That’s my kind of site. I hope it takes off and gets an equivalent across the pond!
